Republican Ron Paul has my support in the Michigan primary. Most of the Democratic field is not running in Michigan (leaving Hillary and Gravel). Ron Paul has my vote in Michigan. Today is the Ron Paul Bomb Drop. Today, thousands of people will be donating to Paul’s campaign to amass a large of amount of money all in one day and bring mainstream media attention to Paul. I have already dropped my Ron Paul bomb and I hope you will join me in supporting Ron Paul, because he is the right candidate for president. People sometimes say the greatest waste is voting for a person that doesn’t win. I say, the greatest waste is voting for the wrong person to win.
The mainstream media including FOX and CNN have largely ignored or downplayed Paul’s large and organized backing. What can’t be ignored is the amount of money that Paul is raising or his intense popularity on the internet. Paul might have summed it up best when he said on Jay Leno, “I have shortcomings, but the message has no shortcomings.” He is the only candidate running for president which will withdraw U.S. troops quickly from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. He is also the only candidate running on a fiscally conservative campaign. Paul believes that America needs to follow the advice of the founding fathers and have a humble foreign policy which trades with all countries, but invades none. He is a champion of the Constitution and is appalled by the way that American civil liberties have been violated in recent years under the Bush administration.
If you’d like to learn more about Ron Paul and his views, you can check out his wikipedia entry. I hope you’ll join me today on November 5 for the Ron Paul Bomb day with a monetary pledge. Every bit helps bring notoriety not only to the man, but to the message.

I didn’t think we’d agree on politics, but shit is really fucked up right now.

Paul took in $3.8 Million yesterday. That’s more than any other current candidate in a single day. The mainstream media is still ignoring him, but the grassroots campaign is too big. This event was a pure grassroots organization and didn’t come from the Paul campaign. I don’t think Paul can win, but I will use my voice and money to show that he should. We need something new and something better than the garbage that the top-tier candidates are offering. Republicans and Democrats alike are leading this country in the wrong direction. We may have disagreed politically in the past, but Paul’s message is stronger than red and blue. It’s a message which crosses lines, redraws borders, and delivers hope for a government of the people, instead of corporations and lobbyists, and which values liberty, instead of fear and insecurity. I think we all can agree on that.
